ADS-B Splitter / L-band 2-way Combiner/Splitter
L-band, two-way, 0° RF Splitter/Combiner designed to distribute dual band ADS-B signals to two receivers, often Software Defined Receivers, like a pair of RTL-SDRs. Intended to be the final stage of a full ADS-B upcoming receiving station kit (UL-ADSB-KIT), the Splitter's job is to deliver DC power to an outdoor ADS-B Low Noise Amplifier, like our LNAU-1030-648 via a coaxial cable. At the same time, and through the same coaxial cable, ADS-B signals from nearby aircraft emitting at either ADS-B frequency: 1090 MHz for high altitude aircraft, such as passenger and cargo airplanes and 978 MHz for low-flying craft, such as private propeller aircraft and commercial Unmanned Drones/UAV/UAS (Unmanned Air Vehicles), are separated for delivery to two dedicated receivers. Each receiver is tuned to each of the 2 frequencies above. Aircraft signals are normally collected by an external antenna (such as our UL-1032-701), and may be amplified and filtered by an LNA (preferred for performance).
