2200-2510 MHz S-Band Drone, UAV and UAS Telemetry Blade Antenna
This compact S-band telemetry blade antenna is designed for drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operating from 2200 to 2510 MHz. It supports airborne command and control (C2), flight telemetry, video transmission and payload data links for defense, government and professional UAV applications.
Its thin, lightweight blade configuration is well suited to aircraft where antenna size, weight and mounting space are important. The low-profile design provides a compact alternative to a conventional whip antenna, helping UAV manufacturers and system integrators accommodate communications equipment on fixed-wing aircraft, multirotor drones and other remotely piloted platforms.
Applications include integration with Doodle Labs Mesh Rider* radios equipped with 2200-2510 MHz S-band coverage and Silvus StreamCaster* radios configured for 2200-2300 MHz or 2200-2500 MHz operation. The antenna supports transmit and receive operation throughout its specified band, making it suitable for compatible telemetry transceivers, broadband data links and tactical mesh-radio installations. Select the appropriate radio frequency configuration and confirm RF connector and transmitter power compatibility for the intended installation.
The antenna features linear polarization, a nominal 50-ohm RF impedance and an SMA female connector for connection to the aircraft's radio through a suitable RF cable. When mounted vertically, its omnidirectional azimuth coverage supports communication as the aircraft changes heading. Install the antenna with the recommended conductive ground plane and clearance from surrounding structures to obtain the specified performance. Diversity and MIMO radio installations require appropriately positioned antennas for the RF ports in use.
