The UL-1370-733 is a compact L-band telemetry blade antenna designed for drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Covering 1350-1390 MHz, it supports airborne command and control (C2), telemetry, video transmission and digital data links for defense, government and commercial applications.
Its thin, lightweight blade design is well suited to airborne platforms where antenna size, weight and mounting space are important. The low-profile configuration provides a compact alternative to a conventional whip antenna, helping UAV manufacturers and system integrators accommodate communications equipment within the aircraft's installation envelope.
Applications include integration with Silvus StreamCaster* radios configured for the 1350-1390 MHz L-band option, including the SC4400E* Band Code 137, and Doodle Labs Mesh Rider* radios equipped with 1350-1390 MHz L-band coverage. The antenna supports transmit and receive operation within this band. Select the appropriate radio frequency configuration and confirm RF connector and transmitter power compatibility for the intended installation.
The UL-1370-733 features linear polarization, a nominal 50-ohm RF impedance and an SMA female connector for connection to the aircraft's telemetry radio through a suitable RF cable. When mounted vertically, its omnidirectional azimuth coverage supports communication as the aircraft changes heading. Install the antenna with the recommended conductive ground plane and clearance from surrounding structures to obtain the specified performance.
