UL-1501-B384, Active, Broadband, Omni Surveillance Antenna, 0.1-3.0 GHz

The UL-1501-B384 is a broadband, omnidirectional antenna intended for receive only applications, such as Electromagnetic Surveillance, Spectrum Monitoring and Metrology applications. This antenna requires a ground plane for normal operation. It features a built-in, Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), capable of spanning from 100 MHz to 3 GHz, and of surviving a total aggregate input power of 20 mW, and producing a linear response to incoming signals as large as 10 mW in strength (mono signal). Power to the antenna may be supplied externally or directly through the RF port (coaxial cable). Nominal dimensions are 13 cm (5 in) OD x 20 cm (8 in) H. Overall weight is approximately 0.5 kg (1 lb).

Expanded capability is available as a special feature (UL-1501-B384E), augmenting its coverage by 2 octaves (an octave below and an octave above the original band limits, i.e., approx. 50 MHz to 6 GHz). The expanded version is able to support the increased spectrum without severe multi-moding at the higher frequencies.

A Passive version of the UL-1501-B384 is available by special request, allowing its use in broadband, bi-directional communications and low/medium power jamming applications.
