Mini-UHF SATCOM Antenna, X-Wing

Antenna model UC-3004-381 is a lightweight, tactical, compact UHF Satcom antenna system. The polarization of this antenna is Circular (CP), intended primarily for communications through satellites. This antenna is approximately half the size of a normal "X-Wing" antenna, but offers comparable gain to its full size counterpart. Its half size dimensions make it ideal for tactical applications, where low observability is important. It will also serve to spoof opposing forces and intelligence efforts into believing traffic is occurring at higher frequencies due to the smaller size antenna.

A special version of this antenna can be obtained (by special request, and at a premium), having both polarizations (RHCP & LHCP), user selectable. It takes about one minute to convert from one polarization to the other. If your communications system is carefully planned, both polarizations (and others) may be supported simultaneously, providing for dual and/or adaptively polarized capability. The mounts, if required, are modified to accommodate this additional feature. Contact us if your need requires this functionality.
